One minute before this shot we had met a 4×4 coming up the hill. I had asked the occupants about the fire, and whether or not they knew if anyone else was coming up the track.
They must have been very lucky, as this tree had fallen across the track shortly after they passed! Normally I carry my smaller chainsaw, but not today. Detour time!
